AREA DRILL & PIPE COMPETITION
On the weekend of the 24/25th February 2007 11 cadets from Dunstable, 1 cadet from Luton & 1 cadet from Bedford, Formed a 13 person Guard and entered the eastern area Armed Guard Competition.
This was part of the Eastern area drill and pipe competition held at Newark showground, and the cadets had qualified for this competition by winning the district Armed Guard Competition in December 2006.
The standard of the competition was high and even though this was our first time of entering the competition, we came a very close second only missing 1st place by the smallest of margins.
All the cadets who took part should be extremely proud of themselves as are the staff of the unit’s concerned. The cadets would like to send their thanks to T.I. Gutteridge whom without this would not have been possible.
The cadets in question are:-
L/C COOPER L/C HAGGER L/C LOXEY L/C STEVENS (LUTON UNIT) L/C WHITTEN A/C JOHNSON A/C PULLEN A/C WORKER O/C CRAY O/C PEARCE CADET COOPER CADET FENSOME CADET GENEVES (BEDFORD UNIT)
